We can sure feel the change of seasons in the air, and you know what comes along with that…holiday celebrations! We are kicking off the Fall holidays with our fundraiser, Hungry Games II: Second Helpings, on Sunday Nov. 13. (See details below) That’s just 1½ weeks away, so it’s time for All Hands On Deck. A sign-up sheet for the event duties will be circulated at this week’s Club meeting on Thursday Nov. 3 at Round Table Pizza, and all members are urged to sign up for a slot. Most importantly, all members are urged to SELL TICKETS, both admission ($25) and raffle ($100) tickets to help make this fundraiser a big success! If you need tickets to sell, contact Gayle Denney (ggdenney@gmail.com).
Otherwise, November provides us more opportunities to gather together. This Thursday Nov. 3, we’ll get to hear from Dan Foss, one of our newest members, about the OLIVE Project, a project he founded to help locate and support victims of human trafficking. Nov. 10 we’ll finalize plans for Hungry Games, and Nov. 17 we’ll have fun socializing and debriefing about the fundraiser. We’ll then look forward to celebrating Thanksgiving with loved ones on Thursday Nov. 24, so that day will be “dark”, with no meeting.
We’re looking forward to spending some of this season with you all.
It’s time for second helpings! Sunday November 13, 4-8pm

On Thursday Oct 27, Club members were moved by Michael Stone's insights on the impact of personal and societal trauma on each of us. Michael addresses trauma with empathy from his own personal experience and his years coaching individuals and in group settings. Pointing out that trauma is not the event but the way our minds and bodies react to traumatic events, Michael shared ways to handle and continually heal from the trauma we harbor in our bodies.
Board Meetings are held on the second Monday of the month at4:00pm via Zoom. Our next meeting will be November 14 at 4:00pm virtual via Zoom. Not a Board member but want to join us?
