Join us as Chief Dan introduces a young woman from the OLIVE program who will share her personal story and the transformational support she has received through OLIVE.

In 2015 Dan established his own non-profit organization known as OLIVE (Overcoming Limitations through Intervention, Value and Empowerment). which provides safety and security to victims of human trafficking. Dan worked through the hurdles to open a much-needed safe house in Madera through his non-profit. It is the only safe house in the county that focuses on victims of sex trafficking.

Fellow Rotarian Dan Foss has taken the lead as Nevada City Chief of Police after a 20-year career in law enforcement with the City of Madera Police Department. Dan joined the Rotary Club of Madera in 2019 and transferred to Nevada CIty Rotary in 2022.
