Nevada County Economic Resource Council

Gil Mathew has enjoyed a long career in business and sales.  Starting in 1969 with Eocom Corporation as financial analyst.  This start up company in optics and sensors was shortly purchased by Perkin-Elmer after growing it to a multi-million dollar company.  
 

He then moved into the mortgage banking business with Uni-Cal Mortgage and then his own mortgagecompany Benchmark Financial.  Then an opportunity became available to start his own manufacturing company that became Benchmark Thermal, manufacturing and distributing industrial heating systems to the semi-conductor industry and other OEMs.

Gil sold that business after 25 years and accepted the position of CEO of the Nevada County Economic Resource Council doing economic and community development for the County of Nevada.  

Gil’s s next career was in the alternative energy business as a co-owner of EnPower Systems, Inc.  this company maintains sales and marketing of energy systems from Photovoltaic to wind energy to micro-hydro, serving both the on-grid market and the off-grid market 

Most currently Gil has rejoined the ERC as Executive Director.  Gil is a member of Nevada City 49er Breakfast Rotary and a former member of our Club.
