Agriculture education at the Ranch

Students from NJUHSD and Bear River High School now have the opportunity to gain practical experience in agriculture at “The Ranch,” an 86-acre working ranch recently donated to the district. The School Ranch provides a unique outdoor classroom where students can engage in real-world hands-on agricultural training.

If you are coming from Grass Valley, you can take the exit toward the fairgrounds and follow McCourtney Road until you reach Chukar on the right-hand side, just before the old Country Store. Chukar 6.6 miles down McCourtney from the Fairgrounds.  It is the 2nd right turn, less than 1/4 mile, past Clear Creek School.  If you pass the Country Store, you missed the turn onto Chukar.

From Grass Valley, the drive typically takes about 15 minutes.

There is plenty of parking available, so you should be just fine, and carpooling is not necessary unless your group prefers to do so.
