Fun with a Purpose

A tail wagging day of fun competitions for mutts, pedigrees and their best friends.

All proceeds support the youth and community programs provided by Nevada City Rotary and our community partners.
  • Entry Fee - $20/dog includes a bandana that will serve as their ticket and entry for a family of 4 human pals.
  • $5/Unaccompanied human (without a dog)
  • Fun, creative opportunities to participate in competitions, auctions, and other prizes.
  • Photo booth to capture the moment with your pet.
In addition to dog races, competitions, agility demonstrations, and challenges, lots of pet loving businesses and services will be on hand for demonstrations and more! While the event is a FUNdraiser to support youth and community services sponsored by Nevada City Rotary, we are looking to promote local pet and animal related services.

A variety of local organizations and businesses will be available with all sorts of goodies — products, services and consumables — to purchase.  And our favorite animal rescue, veterinarians, and other service providers will be on hand to highlight their services!

Rain or shine, dress for the weather.

Thank you to our esteemed Emcee:

'Cuz our Causes Matter - A FUNdraising event to support Youth and Community Causes

A Few of our Causes in support of local Youth and our Community

Each year Nevada City Rotary sponsors a host of youth scholarships for academic and technical studies. With our Northern CA/Northern NV District we sponsor life altering youth leadership camps for middle school and high school students as well as high school music and speech contests.

We sponsor Girls Who Code (STEM) project with 7 Hills Middle School and Interact, a Rotary youth service club, at Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning High School.

With local agencies, we collect backpacks, supplies, and holiday gifts for students and families.

We partner with local community organizations and agencies to provide food to families in need and to offer wellness services such as drive thru flu-shot clinics and screenings.

In a Rotary partnership, we support Bright Futures for Youth's new NEO Youth Center and other programs.

Volunteering with Nevada City Police Department, we add additional welcoming faces and information sources at local events such as National Night Out's Kids Color Fun Run, Hot Summer Nights, and Victorian Christmas.

Supporting our environment, we recycle stretchable plastics with Trex and lithium-ion batteries with Redwood materials.  We participate in river and land restoration events with local organizations.

And the list goes on ...

Looking for a tail wagging good time!
