Starting at Broad Street off ramp across Deer Creek from Lefty's Grill, a small public nature trail called "The Miner’s Trail" meanders along the creek and under the Highway 49 overpass. The trail, offers a short walk along Deer Creek near the downtown Nevada City historic district.Nevada City Rotary built the trail in partnership with the City of Nevada City in 1998. The Club planted trees, created rock benches and printed guides to the trail and posted access signage at the trailhead. A quiet way to enjoy a bit of nature while downtown.
