Nevada City Rotary had a delightful visit with DG Jeff Gabriel for our first Thursday Lunch at Bistro 221. It was a fun and inspiring meeting!DG Jeff opened talking about Rotary International and RIP Jennifer Jones' theme "Imagine Rotary" and highlighted the meaning of the design elements in the this year's Rotary theme logo. He went on to expand on his own D5190 "Together we are one" logo.
And such a good sport, he stepped in as our Jokester of the Week with some fun jokes about trees!
DG Jeff presented our Quiet Rotarian award to Lynda Guthrie -- Yes, Lynda, this one is for you! You can present to Paul in a few minutes... Lynda was recognized for her leadership both as Foundation Chair as well as introducing rich new International projects including Wendy as our Amigos de Guatemala student sponsorship and the Menstrual Kit projects.
DG Jeff recognized Tom Milam with the Heart Of Rotary award for all of his efforts setting up and managing our AV systems and Hybrid meetings this last year. PDG Doug McDonald was recognized for his fifty years of Rotary Service!
And yes, Paul Boch was presented with his PHF+3 by Lynda and DG Jeff! And the Club extended a warm thank you to Robin for implementation of our new website!Congratulations and thank you to all!
