Nevada County Council of Sierra College Foundation

Judy East is Chair of the Nevada County Council of Sierra College Foundation.

Judy East started her educational career in Watts as a junior high school teacher and then became a high school counselor at Manual Arts HS near USC.  After the birth of her son, she moved to Grass Valley where she opened up a Marriage Family Practice until in 1983, she became the Counselor/Administrator of Lyman Gilmore.  A long time member of Soroptimist International of Grass Valley, Judy has devoted her career to helping women in children.  She has served on the NC Mental Advisory Board, the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Commission and was the founding member of the Foothill Youth foundation, which created the first Teen center She currently is a SIGV member and the chair of the Nevada County Council of Sierra College Foundation where she continues her promotion of education and a better life for kids.  She is happily married to Monty East, who shares her passion for improving our community.
