If you have never participated in a Club Fireside Chat, this gathering is especially for you!  We will meet at Cheryl Rellstab's beautiful home at13840 Altair Dr at the top of Banner Mountain. PLEASE BRING YOUR FOOD BANK COLLECTIONS TO THIS WEEK'S MEETING!!!

Nevada City Rotary - FOOD BANK COLLECTIONS
We are especially mindful for those who are less fortunate.  This holiday season our Club will be collecting non-perishable foods to deliver to our local Food Bank and/or other organizations. Bring your donations of canned or other non-perishable foods to Club meetings through the month of December.  Each week as donations warrant, we will deliver locally.

Remember Amazon Smile gives .5% of every purchase to Nevada City Rotary if you are signed up!!!  Sign up through http://smile.amazon.com/ to earn money for our Club while you shop on Amazon.com.  You will need to specifically select "Rotary Club of Nevada City Foundation" under "Pick Your Own Charitable Organization".

Not to be missed memories of Holiday Dinner at the National
Last week's Alert Letter had no images of Miss Sadie gracing our Christmas party!  What a hoot!!!

Mystery Rotarian ~ from Cathy Wilcox-Barnes, Club Services
Mystery Rotarian is back!  Because last week was rained out, we will solve this one on Thursday! Follow the clues to see if you can figure out who it is. The Mystery Rotarian will help you become better acquainted with your fellow Rotary Members.

No one has ventured a guess yet!  This week you might be really stumped. The first person to reveal the Mystery Rotarian to President Robin, (before the answer appears) wins a free raffle ticket. Keep following the Mystery Rotarian and find out more about the people you with whom you spend your Thursdays. Ask questions as you converse each week. As we get to know hidden sides of our members we should get to know each other better.

This week's Mystery Rotarian:

  1. This Rotarian was a foot model in New York.
  2. This Rotarian worked as a Junior Ad Executive for Sacks & Rosen advertising company in New York.
  3. This Rotarian sang at the Cal Neva Lodge lounge for a summer.
  4. This Rotarian started a Hip Hop class for students at risk.
  5. This Rotarian was sponsored by someone with the last initial “R”.
