Induction Today
Today we welcome back pP Dave Bunje into the Rotary Club of Nevada City. Sponsored by pP Bob Buhlis, Dave will be inducted by Membership Chair pP Carolyn Inglis. Welcome back, Dave, you have been missed and Happy Retirement - we'll find plenty to keep you busy!!

Last Week
A good time was had by all at last weeks first "1st Thursday" evening meeting and social hour. About 40 Rotarians, guests and prospective members attended and all 40 talked at once! The food under Ernie's direction was plentiful and nicely prepared (you could tell it was good by the way it was scarfed up!). The vibes were so good and it was so much fun that President Dennis has declared there will be a second 1st Thursday next month.

The chatter stopped while Cheryl Rellstab of Keller-William Realty (where Pres. Dennis hangs out) shared with us the status of the real estate market. Included in her remarks was a comment that the market is all a matter of perspective right now: if you are a buyer, it's a buyer's market, if you are a seller, it's a seller's market - deals are out there for both. Thanks, Cheryl, for being willing to enlighten us on your perspective of today's market and thanks, Mr. President, for inviting our speaker.

Adventures & Wine
Our fundraiser is just 2 weeks away AND we need more donations URGENTLY.
All members are needed to do two things this week to assist in assuring the success of our event.

1) Please attend Thursday’s regular meeting and sign up for a position for Event Day

2) Go get some great donations for our auction - today

The auction committee is able to extend the donation submission deadline to end of day this Friday. There is so much processing, printing and organizing to be done that the deadline can not be extended further.

Thank you for your support and we are all looking forward to a great EVENT!

Deadline for accepting donations is end of day this Friday, Sept. 13  !!
Fax donation forms to 530.687.9076

For Thought
Good friendships are fragile things. A good friendship is like a flower garden and in them we plant seeds of trust and understanding, and then it will need attention and care.
