Today's Program - Moved to Saturday Noel Carter Trail dedication, National Hotel 10:30 a.m.
Quote of the Week My mother had a great deal of trouble with me, but I think she enjoyed it. - Mark Twain
Attention - This Week! The meeting is moved. This change is from Thursday to Saturday, May 11, for the Noel Carter Trail dedication to be held at the National Hotel beginning at 10:30 a.m. There is no charge and coffee and cookies will be served.
Following this half hour event you can choose to go out and hike the trail or help welcome the GSE inbound team from India at a Bar-B-Q beginning at 1:00 p.m. at The Old 5 Mile House. Both events are open to the public.
Please let Nancy know (nhkemp@comcast.net or 530-470-0677) if you will be attending the BBQ – we need to let the restaurant know how many to expect and the cost is $21. Our club is hosting two of the GSE team members. Contact PEN Robin Milam, Robin@the-milams.com, for additional information on hiking the trail.
Weather is forecast to be sunny and warm. Should be beautiful after this refreshing rain!
WE HAD A BLAST AT RAW! Our club had a great showing at the Fairgrounds for Rotarians at Work Day. Walt, Glen, John B and Dennis might have had the hardest job throwing lumber and other items into gigantic dumpsters as part of the amphitheatre tear down, Gayle, Janis and Bob A painted the horse barn, John H and his grandson Cole raked and did chores at our Fair Booth. Tom (Robin’s husband) also did extensive painting at our Fair Booth. Robin was expertly fitted with blower, gas backpack and ear muffs and blew leaves, tables – anything that looked like it could use a little fast moving air. Judy, Karen, Gary, Nicole, Governor Dave and Nancy raked acres of grass around the Sugar Pines buildings.
We enjoyed a lunch of pulled pork, brats, salad and chips at a group of tables with the rest of the Rotary Clubs in our area. Then we all went home and took long naps. Thanks to all club members for your hard work; it was a beautiful day, we had fun and the fairgrounds looks spruced up!

District Conference It is not to late to register. This can be done through the District 5190 website. Conference will be at The Nugget in Sparks, May 17-19.
