Today's Program
Moved to the 5 Mile House - 6pm
Quote of the Week
The greatest way to live with honor in this world is to be what we pretend to be.

Last Week
Taking the helm last week was pP Bob Buhlis who did his best to run a smooth meeting - he'll succeed yet! Stepping in at the last minute to present the program was Merchant Marine Captain and Naval Vietnam War veteran Chuck Shea. His topic was a concern for county management fees and licensing practices that an organization he represents (CABPRO) has been studying.
Guests from the CABPRO team were T. Michael Walker, Ed Milkey, Steve Lawson, and Patrick and Theresa Wagner. Special guests were Marty Dinwiddie, wife of member, Jack, and, visiting from Georgia, pP Joanne Ward currently a member of the Rotary Club of Hercules, CA. The raffle winner was Janis Aydelott who was, alas, not successful with the card match.
This Week - our meeting is moved
We are moving our regular lunch meeting to 6PM dinner meeting at The Old 5 Mile House. We will Celebrate Portugal where RI will be holding the 2012-13 convention. Dinner will be on the lawn near the Bocci Ball court. If you didn't make a reservation and would still like to go to Lisbon 5 Mile House style, let pP Bob Buhlis know at 277-0507 or BobBuhlis@NCRotary.org.
Treasures for Scholars - a great success!
Thanks to the outstanding leadership of PEN Robin Milam, a great deal of fun was had by a contingent of members and spouses who worked hard to make our scholarship fundraiser a success. The Alpha Building was the perfect venue for our "indoor yard sale" last Saturday where a huge variety of items including clothing, books, CD's, tools, household goods, skis, a wet suit and you name it were sold. A full report written by Robin Milam will follow; the final financial report will be available at a later date. Thank you, Robin - your are a true Rotarian!

Club BBQ & Swim
We are moving the July 11th meeting to Saturday July 13th on the river at the Stewart's home. As well as a club social event, this is Dennis's first official club meeting as president. Kim invites everyone to come early and enjoy an afternoon on the river. More details later.
