We are moving the July 11th meeting to Saturday July 13th on the river at the Stewart's home. As well as a club social event, this is Dennis's first official club meeting as president. Kim invites everyone to come early and enjoy an afternoon on the river. Full details posted here
We were DARK last week for our regular meeting but club members did participate in the 4th of July parade in downtown Grass Valley. Were you there?
The pre-fair club outing is planned for Thursday, August 1st at the Fairgrounds. Gather at 5:30 for appetizers and adult beverages, and 6:30 for potluck dinner.
This is the dry run to precede the fair to make sure everything works, and it is the official club meeting for the week. In addition to food for sharing (appetizer, salad or dessert) you should bring table service, including plates, cups, utensils, and tablecloth or placemats for yourself and your guests…this is a family friendly event!
The theme for the fair this year is “Under the Big Top” and our traditional tabletop decoration contest will take place. Join with two or three of your Rotary friends and create a winning tablescape! The rivalry between the Walt Stickel and the Ben Barretta groups has been great fun in the past, let’s see who can be the most creative this time!
A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower, when the doorbell rings. The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs. When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next-door neighbor. Before she says a word, Bob says, "I'll give you $800 to drop that towel."
After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob.
After a few seconds, Bob hands her $800 and leaves.
The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs. When she gets to the bathroom, her husband asks, "Who was that?" "It was Bob the next door neighbor," she replies.
"Great!" the husband says, "did he say anything about the $800 he owes me?"
