Rotario - August 9, 2016

Dear Rotarians and Friends,

Welcome to my latest Rotario newsletter. Once again it is a pleasure keeping you informed of our club activities in the coming weeks.

Nevada City Rotary Kicks it Up on Treat Street at the Fair!

Fair Week is here! Our walkin is filled with pulled pork, shredded chicken, bread coleslaw and all the fixens!  Windows opened this morning!

Thank you all for signing up for multiple shifts at the Fair.  A special thank you for those who recruited friends and fellow Rotarians to work our booth.  If you are on the shedule, Robin distributed tickets in person at our Fair Picnic and by mail to all others.  Contact Robin if you don't have your tickets. You get free entry into the Fair the days you work our booth.  Please note, the Fair does not provide parking passes.

Now that we are into Fair week, you are responsible for backfilling any schedule conflicts you may face. Please notify Walt at 530-478-5793 if you do make a change.

Last Week's Annual Fair Picnic!

We shared a relaxing evening on Treat Street at our picnic. Thank you Megan Kennedy for inspiring us with your RYLA stories and accomplishments!  We are so very proud of you.

Joe and Michelle brought precious little Takara! It was great to have Stacy Drake and Karen Young back among us along with other special friends and family!!!

Second Fair Booth Work Party on Sat. Aug. 6 was a huge success in the final "sprucing up" of the booth. A big thanks goes out to Robin & Tom Milam, Carolyn & Mike Inglis, Dave Bunje, and Ken Ching for putting on the finishing touches, which included some painting and new signage.
