The Nevada City Rotary Foundation and Club are proud to be partnering with First 5 Nevada County to launch Dolly Parton's Imagination Library in Nevada County this summer! The Imagination Library is a book gifting program created by Dolly Parton to inspire a love of reading in young children, from birth to age five. The program sends high-quality, age-appropriate books directly to children’s homes each month at no cost to families, helping to build their home libraries and encourage early literacy. The Dollywood Foundation partners with local 501(c)(3) nonprofit and other dedicated organizations and local leaders in the community who work together as Local Program Partners.
Hallie Anderson is a Community Engagement Coordinator for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library of California. She spends her "9-5" supporting and growing local Imagination Library programs all across Northern California and the Bay Area counties. Hallie will be visiting Nevada City Rotary Thursday July 17 for our 5:30pm Social at Round Table Pizza. She will be sharing the magical power of the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library transforming the lives of young children at their most critical impressionable learning stage.
