Dear Rotarians and Friends,
Join us this Week on Zoom
Thursday February 25, 2021 - 12:15pm Lunch
Cathy Wilcox-Barnes - Membership, the Heart of Rotary
What YOU think about Club Membership...
This week's program is about YOU -- our valued members of Nevada City Rotary and our camaraderie as Rotarians. We will welcome back Amelia Barrett as our latest re-new member. Amelia is an enthusiastic, professional business woman. Passionate about property management, she is owner of Barrett Property Management. She is "Mom" to two young boys who have also been known to lend a helping hand at the Fair and with Club Projects. Amelia married John Boyer on New Years and we expect to see more of John too!
During our February 25th meeting, Cathy will talk about Rotary Membership and go over the results of the Club Membership Survey we just completed. A time for reflection and inspiration!
If you have not completed a survey, we still want to hear from you -- even if it is too late for Cathy's summary. Click 2021 Membership Survey(link is external) to download and complete your survey. A big thank you to all who took the time and thought to participate! And to Cathy for compiling your results.
Food Bank of Nevada County - Sign Up to Pack Food for Home Delivery
Our Club partnership with the Food Bank continues Wednesday, March 3 and 17 when our Club is scheduled to pack food bags and boxes for home delivery. A team of 6 Nevada City Rotarians will gather at the Food Bank from 9-11:30am each day. For COVID safety, the Food Bank limits the number of volunteers. Susie is handling signups. Please let Susie know at MonaryWilson@msn.com if you are interested and available for one or both days. Packing will occur at the Food Bank Office/Warehouse at 310 Railroad Ave. #100, Grass Valley.
A BIG THANK YOU to SUSIE for her time, energy and enthusiasm in organizing each step of this wonderful Community Services project! And to all who came out to collect and now to pack food for home delivery!

Hear Dr Kellermann in Vaccinate Nevada County Town Hall with YubaNet
The COVID-19 vaccine rollout is now underway. YubaNet's Pascal Fusshoeller moderated a very informative Town Hall Meeting with Dr Scott Kellermann – Nevada County's new Public Health Officer, Dr. Alinea Stevens – Chape De, Dr. Brian Evans – Dignity Health Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital along with Ryan Gruver and Jill Blake – Nevada County Health & Human Services to provide accurate information about vaccine availability, the logistics behind the effort and to answer audience questions about the COVID-19 vaccines in Nevada County.
Who can get the vaccine and when? How will you know when you are eligible? Is it safe? Is it mandatory? Is it free? Watch the video at Vaccinate Nevada County.
Your Happy/Sad Shares make a difference!
Thank you Treasurer Tom Ryan for your ongoing diligence with our finances. And thank you Club members for following the Four Way Test with your pledges to our Club! If you have questions, Tom R is happy to discuss your statement with you.
Your Happy/Sad shares give us glimpses of what is going on in your life beyond Rotary. They are special moments together especially since so much of our time is on Zoom. Your associated "bucks" provide a base for us to continue our special services to our community and beyond. Thanks for sharing you!
Stay connected and informed
Robin monitors our news@ncrotary.org email. You can direct questions to that email or to me. As we learn more and to stay in touch, we will send out regular or more frequent Rotarios.
