Last Week ~ Welcome New Member Greg Geare
John and Susie Monary-Wilson, New Zealand Adventures

Welcome Greg Geare, our newest member! Greg is sponsored by fellow Grampa and Father-In-Law Michael Young (as most now know Greg's son married Michael's daughter.)  Greg is a retired children's welfare social worker.  He and Dennis also discovered that they are cousins whose grandfathers were brothers.  Whatever the family connection, we are delighted to have Greg as a member of our Rotary family!

John and Susie took us on a beautiful photo tour of New Zealand including flying over glaciers in a small plane, ferry and catamaran trips to Doubtful Sound, a train ride over the Southern Alps, the Maori people, and the political and social climate. Fun and educational!

Annual Adaptive Education & 7 Hills Leadership Field Day

Our Annual Adaptive Education and Seven Hills Leadership Class outing is the morning of Wednesday May 29 from 9am - 12 noon. We will be on the fields at Seven Hills Middle School.  As we have done for many years, we will again be providing lunch - building sandwiches on site.  A favorite for the students are all the homemade cookies we bring.  Cathy has already volunteered her batch and we will need more. Please let John know if you can provide cookies too. A big thank you to John Wilson, our fabulous Youth Services Chair, for coordinating plans with the school staff.

Girls Who Code at Seven Hills

Girls Who Code program continues into the new year. The girls love our healthy snacks.  Please signup with Nancy Kemp to serve as host and/or bring healthy snacks a week or more for Girls Who Code participants. If you haven’t done it before, Nancy has great instructions on what to serve.  It is another incredible opportunity to become involved and participate with the youth in our community.
