Club News

Baby Kenitzer: Prez Kidd sends his regrets, but he will not be at today's meeting. Instead, he is taking care of his newborn: Aedan Davis Kenitzer. Aedan (yes, Gil -- it's pronounced "A'-dan") was born on Saturday morning (October 28). Both mom and baby are doing wonderfully. The Kidd hopes to be back with all of you soon.
Foundation Dinner: Next week's meeting will be moved for the Foundation Dinner on Thursday evening (November 9) at the Miners Foundry (not the Elks Lodge as previously reported). No host bar starts at 5:30pm; the festivities start at 6:00pm. The opening speaker will be Dr Scott Kellermann, while the guest speaker will be Marion Bunch, the Executive Director of Rotarians for Fighting AIDS. A sign-up sheet will be passed around at today's meeting. Everyone needs to RSVP (including meal choice) by tomorrow!
Party Hearty: This year's Party Hearty with Jimmi Accardi is on Friday, November 10 at the Miners Foundry. All NC Rotarians will be responsible to sell or donate 4 tickets at $5 each ($20 total). Doors open at 6:30pm, dance lessons at 7:00, and music / dancing is 7:00 to 11:30. Remember that all proceeds from tickets and food will benefit Sierra Services for the Blind.
Robotic Observatory: The Sierra College Robotic Observatory will be holding an open house on Monday evening (November 6) from 6:30-8:30pm. Since this was an area-wide project, Rotarians are invited. Please let pP Ben Barretta know who would like to attend.
