  Club News

Afternoon Meetings: Today's meeting has been rescheduled to tomorrow evening for Party Hearty with Jimmi Accardi. If you cannot attend this event, please make-up at another club or online. Next week's meeting will be dark for Thanksgiving. Our next regularly scheduled meeting will be on December 1.
Party Hearty with Jimmi Accardi: The party tomorrow night (Friday, November 18) kicks off at 7:00 PM at the Grass Valley Vets Building. Tickets to the event are $5 in advance or $7 at the door with all of the proceeds benefitting Sierra Services for the Blind. All members are asked to sell four tickets to this event. If you haven’t heard them before, Jimmi Accardi and The Wild Cats play a mixture of boogie woogie, jump blues, rhythm and blues, rockabilly, and rock 'n' roll music. They are guaranteed to get everybody out of their seats and dance their blues away. But if you don't dance, hanging out and/or tapping your foot is certainly allowed as well!
Christmas Party: This year's annual party will be held on Friday, December 9 at the Nevada City Oddfellows Hall. The Pokerettes are planning a wonderful event. The No Host Social Hour will start at 6:00, Dinner will start at 7:00, and the Band will begin at 8:00. Anyone who wants to bring children, feel free to do so. 12 and under will be half-price. Rather than a gift exchange, everyone attending is encouraged to bring a wrapped gift, which will be taken to the Manzanita House. The following gifts would be greatly appreciated there: toys, mittens, hats, etc. for kids (please mark age) or toiletries, towels, linens, etc. People who stay there temporarily get to take those household items with them when they go.
